Council Business

Pencombe Group Parish Council meets in Pencombe & Little Cowarne Parish Hall on the fourth Tuesday of every month, except for December, starting at 7.30pm.  Notices of meetings are put on the parish website and noticeboards three working days before the meeting date.  Members of the public & press are welcome to attend any meetings.

All meetings have a dedicated agenda item at the beginning to hear and respond to questions from local residents.  If a member of the public has specific questions to pose to the council however, it would be appreciated if you make contact beforehand with the question so there is time to research a constructive answer if required.  Any written documents to submit to the council should be presented at least three working days before the meeting date to ensure the councillors have adequate time to read, understand and prepare for the discussion.

We aim to finish all meetings within 1.5 hours, and ask any members of the public to keep contributions short and concise.

220/19 Open session:
220.1/19 To receive a verbal update from the Ward Councillor.
220.2/19 To receive queries or concerns by local residents on parish matters.
220.3/19 To receive a verbal update on the parish hall.

221/19 Finance – to receive an update.
221.1/19 To note HSBC bank balances and spend against budget.
221.2/19 To note income received/due.

221.3/19 To consider and authorise payments due;
221.4/19 Clerk’s salary – to note the Clerk’s salary for March.
221.5/19 HALC membership for the year 2019/20 £406.60.

222/19 Cemetery – to receive a verbal update.
222.1/19 To sign two EROB forms – payments received.

223/19 Lengthsman/Grass Cutting
To note that the first cut of the year took place on Friday 8th March (1/8) – invoice received and
payment from the Council was made.

223/19 Defibrillators – Little Cowarne & Sparrington defibrillators
223.1/19 To receive a verbal update on a fundraising event for the purchase of a defibrillator.

224/19 Parish Meeting Update – 9th April – to consider any actions required.
