Cllr John Barrett has decided to resign from the Parish Council after more than 30 years as a Councillor.  We thank John for this wonderful service to our community and wish him and Celia all the best for the future.  An extra ordinary Council meeting will be held on 21 December 2021 to accept his resignation and declare a vacancy.  The details are here

A vacancy has now been declared within the parish of Pencombe with Grendon Warren and the vacancy notice from Herefordshire Council has been posted on both the Pencombe and Little Cowarne notice boards.  You can see the vacancy notice and find out the next steps in recruiting a new Councillor – Vacancy notice Cllr JR Barrett

The next meeting scheduled for the NDP is to be held on Tuesday 11 January 2022 at 7 pm in the Parish Hall.  This decision has been made following consultation with residents, where sufficient numbers said they would attend and follow COVID precautions.

The aim of this meeting will be for residents to work in small groups to develop the Vision and Objectives of the NDP.  It will be a facilitated workshop where support and guidance will be provided to help residents reach their conclusions about how they would like to see the Parishes develop.  It should last about 90 minutes.

The COVID precautions are-

  1.  Every attendee needs to declare that on the day of the meeting they have carried out a lateral flow test and it was negative.  If a resident wishes to attend but for whatever reason has been unable to carry out a test then the Hall has a stock of tests and which enables the resident to test before entering.
  2. Masks will be worn during the meeting and social distancing observed.

The Parish Council looks forward to welcoming everyone who can come along and thanks them for attending in these quite difficult circumstances
